Why Scouting

There are many extra-curricular activities that you can encourage your child to be involved in, including sports, clubs, and church groups.  Very few offer as much as Scouting.  Consider these benefits of the overall Scouting program:

- A program that youth can be involved in from age 5 through 21, and then have the opportunity to continue on in as an adult.

- A program based on values that are exactly what you want your child to learn... A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent.
- Opportunities to have fun and adventure, for your child, you, and the rest of the family.  That's right, Cub Scouts is a family program, and the focus is on fun.

- What other program offers you, the parent, the opportunity to participate with your child in all of the activities and adventures in a way that will help you build an incredibly strong relationship with your child?

- The lessons and training that the Scouting program offers both youth and leaders is based on over 100 years of experience and success.
